Judy and I are antiquers like all of you. I've "collected" for my entire life. I came by it quite naturally as my parents and my grandparents were all packrats. I entered the business as a pottery dealer in 1975. Only natural since I had lived and breathed pottery for several years. I had an open shop in the '80s and expanded into full line antiques, specializing in pottery, tools and paper. We haven't done many shows in the last few years due to my health.

We personally collect American art pottery, Southwestern pottery, stoneware, woodworking tools, electric fans, paper of all types, smoking pipes, early radios, books, buebirds, clocks, advertising, -time to stop as I'm embarrassing myself. I'm beginning to understand why we have rooms and a 50 x 60 building that no one can get through.

Judy is a retired RN with experience in technical writing and organization. I give her organization skills an unsurmountable challenge. Myself, I've been a porcelain restorer for 30 years or so. I also restore trunks, picture frames and gilding. Quite a combination, isn't it! I used to write monthly columns for the Glaze and The Collector and miscellaneous articles for other publications-all on pottery. I did write one last year on trunks for the Association Of Restorers. You'll find it under Uncle Lar's Workshop, if you're interested. I currently belong to several restoration guilds.

Our major interests besides antiques? Our flower gardens, reading, cooking, baking, travel and the grandkids that we get to see at least every other weekend.
Judy also likes to do cross stitching and I still love restoring furniture "basket cases."
