Following are photos of a circa 1940 Duncan Phyfe mahogany dining room suite currently for sale. It consists of 6 chairs (2 with arms), a 42" by 62" table that expands to 98" in 12" segments using 3 leaves. Full set of custom made table pads are included. Set includes a 42" breakfront china cabinet. All pieces are with original finish in near excellent condition. The chair seats were recovered for last year's holiday season. The asking price is $950.

A 54" buffet is also included. It does have blemishes on the top which could be either touched up or covered with a table scarf. In our pricing, we consider the buffet to be a "freebee". See bottom photos.

We also have a matching large bow front breakfront (mahogany) for sale. It also is in near excellent condition and also of 40's vinage. It is priced at $700.

Buffet

The top has many scratches and small pit marks. See pictures below. We covered the top with a plastic doily type material cut to size. The top can be touched up to eliminate the mars. If you don't wish to do it yourself, I can do it. Kind of falls into the story of the cobbler's kids that had no shoes. I do everyone else's but never my own.

It has been in my dining room for over 20 years. I am parting with it because Judy wishes to go to maple country furnishings. All but the Large Bow Front Breakfront were purchased from the same family that purchased them new. The different colors of the items are due to light differences when I photographed them. The buffet photos were taken on a north side sun room. The others were taken in our dining room. Please feel free to call with any questions.
